"Mum Members":   means Users (typically mums) who have signed up to connect with and meet other Mum Members for friendship purposes;

"Business Members":   means Users (typically bloggers, companies or sole traders) who sign up to add a blog or business idea to our directories. Business Members are not able to access the Mum Members only area of Our Site; and

"Members":   means collectively Business Members and Mum Members who have signed up and created an Account on the signed in membership areas of Our Site;

This Privacy Policy applies only to your use of Our Site. Our Site may contain links to other websites. Please note that we have no control over how your data is collected, stored, or used by other websites and we advise you to check the privacy policies of any such websites before providing any data to them.

Personal data is defined by the General Data Protection Regulation (EU Regulation 2016/679) (the "GDPR") as "any information relating to an identifiable person who can be directly or indirectly identified in particular by reference to an identifier".

Personal data is, in simpler terms, any information about you that enables you to be identified. Data we collect automatically from Users:

When you visit Our Site we use our own and third party cookies to collect data such as your IP address, web browser type and version, as well as your operating system. We also collect a list of URLs starting with a referring site, your activity on Our Site, and the site you exit to.

Data we collect from Members:

When you use our sign up forms to become a Member and use our service, you will provide us with your email address and an answer to a security question of your choice.

Data we collect from Mum Members:

When you use our networking and friendship services you will create a Member profile which consists of a made up Member Name (not your real name), limited location details, such as the county and locality in which you reside, and a profile bio about yourself, such as why you want to meet other Members. All other information you provide us with is optional, such as your age range, age range of children and circumstances, such as mum to be, working mum, single mum etc. You do not have to provide us with this optional information to be able to use your membership but it will enhance your chances of meeting other Members like you, if you do. We provide all Mum Members with a choice of images which they can choose to use as their profile image but they also have the option to change that image and upload one of their own personal images. We advise that uploaded images should not display a child's face in an identifiable way and we reserve the right to crop out any images uploaded which do display a child's face.

When you use our networking and friendship service, you may send private messages to other Mum Members, post comments on our group chatter and post details of a meet up.

Data we collect from Business Members:

When you use our directories to list details of your blog, product or service you will create a business profile which consists of information such as contact name, business name, address and bio.

When you add details of your blog, product or service, you may provide us with other optional information, such as web URL and social media URL details.

You may access certain areas of Our Site without providing any personal data at all. However, to use all features and functions available on Our Site you may be required to submit or allow for the collection of certain data.

We will not ever sell, distribute or lease your personal data to any third party person or organisation at any time, unless we are required by law to do so. Data collected from Users:

All data provided to us by Users is recorded and stored by us (see Section 12 for details on how it is stored). This enables us to process and provide our networking and friendship service as well as our business directory service.

Data which is automatically collected in cookies when Users visit Our Site, such as ip address and browser details is used by us and other third parties for statistical, marketing and traffic analysis purposes. Data collected from Members:

Email addresses, security answers and passwords are kept secure and never revealed to any third party person or organisation.

To enable us to do our best to provide a safe and secure service, all Member data goes through an approval process, where it is viewed by a limited number of trusted staff members.

Data collected from Mum Members:

We do display publicly to all Users who visit Our Site a limited number of profile images and profile bios at Find Mums; profile images and chatter at Chatter; and profile images and meet up bios at Meet Up , as an example, of how Our Site works. We will not display bios that contain any identity information and we do not display profile images that clearly display children's faces.

All other profile data, group chat and meet up details are displayed to signed in Mum Members only.

Private messages are only displayed to the Mum Members they are addressed to.

Data collected from Business Members:

Business contact name and address details are kept secure and never revealed to any third party person or organisation.

Business name, bio and image are displayed publicly to all Users who visit Our Site only on the Ideas Directory but not on the Blogs Directory.

Blog, product or service details (optional data) are displayed publicly to all Users who visit Our Site.

Under the GDPR, we must always have a lawful basis for using personal data. This may be because the data is necessary for our performance of a contract with you, because you have consented to our use of your personal data, or because it is in our legitimate business interests to use it. Your personal data may be used for the following purposes:

Mum Members:

Business Members:

Members:

You will not be sent any unlawful marketing or spam. We will always work to fully protect your rights and comply with our obligations under the GDPR and the Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003, and you will always have the opportunity to opt-out.

Google Adsense & Google Doubleclick:

We partner with Google Adsense and Google Doubleclick to display the advertising that partially pays for Our Site. For that to work effectively they will use cookies to store data and access data about your use of Our Site. Mum Members:

Mum Members can control their data in the following ways:

You have full control over the data you provide to us and can sign in and edit it by going to Settings >> Edit Profile or Edit Profile Image or Edit Location.

You can delete your membership and all your data by going to Settings >> Member Details and then clicking on the "Delete My Membership" button. Your data will then go through a checking process by a limited number of trusted staff before it is fully deleted from our records.

Business Members:

Business Members can control their data in the following ways:

You have full control over the data you provide to us and can edit it at any time by signing in and going to your Dashboard. Profile data can be edited via Settings.

Business Members can delete their membership and all their data at any time by going to Settings >> Member Details and then click on the "Delete My Membership" button. Your data will then go through a checking process by a limited number of trusted staff before it is fully deleted from our records.

We will not keep your personal data for any longer than is necessary in light of the reason(s) for which it was first collected. Your personal data will therefore be kept for the following periods (or, where there is no fixed period, the following factors will be used to determine how long it is kept):

Data collected from Members will be stored by us until or unless such Member deletes their membership with us by signing in and going to Settings and then Member Details and clicking on the "Delete My Membership" button or they can email us at  [email protected] to request the removal of their details

The personal data of Members is stored on the secure server hardware of our UK based web host, a third party Data Processor, who is GDPR compliant. Their hardware is located in UK based Data Centres which have stringent security measures in place, including, but not limited to, dual pallisade steel fencing; anti-tailgating vehicle entry technology; experienced 24/7 on-site security personnel; motion detectors; internal and external HD CCTV; and physical access control and surveillance. They also have digital security measures in place, including, but not limited to, hardware firewall protection; and proprietary digital security protocols and techniques.

We also use a third party content delivery network ("CDN") who provide us with a service which identifies trusted web traffic and protects Our Site against vulnerabilities and threats, such as denial of service attacks, so we can do our best to provide a secure and encrypted networking service. They are GDPR compliant and are certified under the EU-US and Swiss-US Privacy Shield frameworks for onward transfers of EU data to the United States. This CDN merely transmits, routes, switches and caches limited static content which is stored in the cache for short periods of time. They may receive limited personal data such as IP addresses which they process in their main data centre in the US for a limited period of time and generally stored for no more than 72 hours.
