We are excited to announce the all new mumsmeetup.com is now live, having recently undergone a major design makeover and rebrand.

Becoming a mum is a major emotional life changing event for women and it should be one of the most exciting and happiest.

However, all too often, after the whirlwind of visitors coming to see baby settles down, partners return to work and the first few months of getting to know baby passes, mums (often sleep deprived) can begin to feel lonely - most have left colleagues at work, feel cut off from their usual social circle and time out with partners can become non-existent.

Mums have to find new ways to socialise in the daytime with their babies, not only for companionship for themselves but as a way to find playmates for their babies.

So they may try mother and baby groups but even this may not be easy as they walk into a room full of mums busy chatting away. The other mums may appear quite cliquey to new mums coming in - maybe because once mums do befriend others mums they have so much to chat about they can, quite unintentionally, become oblivious to others outside their group.

MumsMeetUp provides a solution for mums to find others and connect in a quick and simple way. They are able to search for mums in their area, in similar circumstances, with children of similar age, and then arrange to meet up in person - creating proper real life friendships for them and their children.

Connecting Mums Across UK - 2010

MumsMeetUp provides a quick and simple way for mums to find and meet other mums similar by age of child or circumstances (such as young, 40+, working, single parent mums etc.) in their own local areas of the UK within just a few clicks.

Mums of children with disabilities are able to meet other local mums whose children have similar medical conditions and expat mums in the UK can meet other local mums originating from the same overseas countries.

Members maintain complete anonymity whilst becoming acquainted via private online messaging or group discussions. In addition, members can arrange their own offline Meet Ups for mums at any public venue and invite other members to join.

This is all free to Mums of children ranging in age from babies to teens, as well as mums to be.

MumsMeetUp was built by the Owner, Caroline. She has a child with a disability and has felt the advantages of getting together with others whose children have a similar disability, not only for the parents but also for the children as it is of great benefit to children to realise they are not alone with a disability.

She believes this also applies to other circumstances, such as divorced or widowed mums etc., as well as all mums as it's a way for them to find friends for their children and at the same time know who the parents are.
